Baton Rouge LA

Before the world stopped working, I was fortunate enough to take a 10 day trip to visit one of my best friends from California at her new place in Louisiana where she now studies. Here’s some of the best stuff that I found in Baton Rouge in the short time that I was there.

Highland Coffees – a hugely aesthetic, hygge coffee shop that I passed many an hour in while my friend was teaching or in class.

Coffee Call – the place to get the best beignets in, quite frankly, all of Louisiana. Oh, and their vanilla-hazelnut coffee? The. Bomb.

French Truck Coffee – I just really like coffee, if you can’t tell. We ate some pretty cracking avocado toast here, too.

MJ’s Cafe – an all vegetarian and (mostly) vegan cafe that we ate at on my first full day in Baton Rouge. So good!

Mike the Tiger @ LSU – I definitely thought Mike was a statue, maybe a dude in a costume, but oh no. A real life tiger that I want to keep and love forever.

Coyote Moon – a quirky, kitsch spiritual shop that I could have happily spent hours and hours in. Full of tarot decks, incense and beautiful crystals, of which I now proudly own three (and a mood ring, duh).

Have you visited Baton Rouge? Where’s your favourite place there?
